Babies & Bubbles - Mothers Day Celebration Event 2024

Updated: May 25

Our very first Eden-Rose event was a huge hit with mums and grandmothers across Stirlingshire

We wanted to put on an event for mothers and grandmothers that they could bring little ones along to, so everyone could enjoy some mothers day celebrations.

This was held at the gorgeous Blaire Drummond Community Hall, where we had 2 sessions including afternoon tea for the adults and soft play, reading, colouring and games for the littles under 5.

We utilised this beautiful space to create 5 distinct areas:

Under 1's Area

Our high quality picket fencing came in handy to create a safe and enclosed under 1's area including ball pit, step and slide, baby teepee, play mat and toys.

Soft Play Area

We combined our beautiful mat colours (green, beige and white) which made a gorgeous tartan mat and all of our soft play equipment, ride ons and add ons to create one huge play area. Thankfully we had our wonderful husbands help get all of this equipment in. It was some job!

Reading, Colouring and Games area:

Our wooden picnic table made the perfect colouring station (including Mothers day personalised colouring sheets) and our teepee made a cosy little reading corner. We also had our oversized jenga and connect 4 set up for the littles to enjoy some competitive fun.

Photo Backdrop

We decided to turn our hand to DIYing a photobooth/backdrop area with Lucy creating the beautiful floral sail board and Emma creating her very first (and quite possibly last) balloon arch after watching a few youtube videos. Not bad for a first try LOL, but cant say we will be getting into balloons any time soon!

Mothers Day Afternoon Tea

And last, but certainly not least we created our dining area for afternoon teas, with floral centerpeices. We wanted our guests to be able to relax and enjoy the time with their family, friends and babies without having to get up for some grub. Our lovely fresh afternoon teas were prepared by us in the kitchen and served to tables, along with teas, coffees and bubbly! We are so grateful that both of our mums and Lucy's aunty came to help. We really couldn't have pulled this off without them.

What a huge set up this was and it was such a long exhausting day for us both and all of our wonderful helpers. However it was so worth it when we received feedback from our lovely customers.

Aisha gave us a very kind review:

"Just wanted to give you some feedback on today’s afternoon session. Presentation was beautiful! Loved the separate baby and older kids sections. The afternoon tea was perfect and the whole thing was excellent value for money. Please do more mother and baby events! Myself my daughter my mother and my gran had a fabulous time!"

Hearing that we achieved exactly what we set out to do was the cherry on top of such an amazing day!

We plan to run more events in the next year and have plenty of ideas on the cards...

Watch this space (including our socials) for updates.
